To Be Content

Written By Gavin Jones

I have soared over mountains,
I have soared overseas.
Throughout my journey, I have lent a helping hand indeed.
I had a calling, but its purpose is yet to be completed.
Man has found it hard to be content, but I am gradually finding peace.
Even though my soul sometimes seems to weep, I humble myself waiting to feel relief. How do I praise myself?
What spirit should bring me relief? Oh, sometimes I wonder what else, what turns, what warnings should I have taken heed?
What is contentment? Again, and again, what is peace?
If I should give myself comfort, if I should feel content, if I should look deep into eyes and find the depth of my soul, I would say: I have lived my mission. I have connected with my dreams. I have contributed to making a meaningful difference on earth. I have created purpose and a vision for every life I've touched on earth.
Cry no more, my children, cry no more, my friends.
The saviour has called me home to a place where we shall meet again.
